Evaluation: Part 1

For our As Media Coursework we were appointed the task of creating our own Title sequence, in groups that we selected. The genre we chose was Psychological Thriller, we wanted to capture elements of suspense, mystery and tension. Our film title we created was called 'Six Small Bones'.

In our narrative a young boy called Morgan Tyler is kidnapped. The boy has been kidnapped by his father’s twin brother which he was unaware he even had. Before the boy was kidnapped his father died in a car crash which is later known to have been started by his unknown twin brother. The villain the Twin Brother wants to take the only thing his brother ever loved for himself as he was put into care and never knew his family
.
In the Title Sequence it contains elements of the films narrative. We included a missing poster, death certificate, a blood splattered sink and connotations of a mysterious man. When editing we used slow motion to captivate the tension including a lot of slow panning shots for suspense.
