The History of a Title Sequence A Title Sequence is the method by which film directors present their film idea's identifying the cast, visual elements, typography and sound. The Title sequence comes before the film start giving indicates to the narrative. Since cinematography was invented, simple title cards were used to display dialogue and the plot at the beginning of a film. Its in some of the short films that we see the start of title sequences themselves, the pieces were normally accompanied by overture. Title sequences evolved to become more creative and attractive. Television was the making of their design because it forced major film studios to invest in making cinema more attractive. The advent of graphics in the 1960's really improved the look of sequences, making title sequences how they are today.
